Support Services for Donation Management System

Founded in 1958, the Garfield Weston Foundation (GWF) is a UK-based general grant-giving charity endowed by the late W. Garfield Weston and members of his family.

 

We were asked to help GWF by providing support for their Donations Management system which manages the requests, responses and payments for grants. Developed using Microsoft .NET and SQL Server, this system had evolved over time with several third-party suppliers involved in its development.

 

Business Requirements

GWF were looking for a company who could provide support and maintenance for the Donation Management system and implement additional enhancements as and when required. A key requirement for GWF was the provision of dedicated support at specific times.

 

Our Service

By adapting our standard terms and conditions for supporting third-party applications, we provided a call-off contract that accommodated GWF’s specific requirements. Via this contract, our software engineers and support personnel support and maintain the system and troubleshoot any problems that arise. We provide:

All problems are reported via a dedicated support email address and are assessed within 2 working days. This process ensures that any problem receives prompt attention. Fixes are then made as appropriate and applied to the system. GWF has provided Beacon with remote access using VPN technology enabling us to access a live and development system without the need to be on-site.

 

As a result of our support service, we have provided GWF with the confidence to fully utilise this third-party, business-critical system in the knowledge that they will receive a reliable, responsive and high quality level of assistance that meets their requirements.
